Every morning, at 9am east coast time, there is a "Morning Call" for all traders in the company. In this call, the following information is disseminated:
- Current News Highlights of interest to traders
- Schedule of government/agency announcements for the trading day.
- Pertinant trading numbers for the day (including fair value).
- Recap of significant market/sector movements that could have an impact on the day's trading.
- Company activities and related information that is important for traders to know.
- Current status, known problems with RediPlus and FirstAlert.
Here is what to do to join the call:
- Start Paltalk as usual.
- Click on the groups button :
- The groups window will open.
- Double click on the Business and Finance category.
- A list of groups will appear.
- Find the group "Bright" in the list and double click on it.
- A window will come up asking you for a password. Type in the password you received via e-mail.
- When you want to talk in the forum, you have to click on the "raise hand" button and then someone will give you a mike: After someone gives you a mike, then hold down the CTRL key or your keyboard and speak into your mic. Keep the CTRL key it depressed the entire time you are talking and release it when you are done. You can also type messages into the text chat window anytime you want to. During the call, if you can't hear well or people say you're not speaking loud enough, you can adjust your mic and speaker volumes using the sliders at the lower left hand portion of the window.

Remember, the morning call generally goes from around 9:00am to 9:20am. If you get in any hours other than these, there probably won't be anyone there or they won't be listening.
